Παρουσίαση
Love, revenge, humor, madness, mistaken identity-the timeless themes of Shakespeare's plays continue to engage audiences more than four hundred years after they were first performed. William Shakespeare (English, 1564-1616) wrote nearly forty comedies, tragedies, histories, and romances. Artists have contributed to the storytelling with their interpretations, and the works in this calendar portray some of Shakespeare's best known and loved characters: Romeo, King Lear, Falstaff, and, of course, Bottom, who wears the head of an ass. Each month presents a few tidbits of Shakespearean lore to accompany the opulent artworks, which are in the collection of the Folger Shakespeare Library. The Folger contains the world's largest collection of materials relating to Shakespeare and his works. (From the publisher)Κριτικές για το προϊόν
