This book by Evita Arapoglou is the fruit of a long-standing engagement, of an infinite love for the subject in question. On first flipping through its pages, one readily realises that this book has been prepared, designed and written in a single-minded effort to celebrate Nikos Hadjikyriakos-Ghika's invaluable contribution to the Benaki Museum: a donation that includes not only the artworks that comprise the Ghika Gallery; not even only the beautiful furnishings of the artist's home, archives, furniture and valuable collections, but also the entire 3 Kriezotou Street building owned by the artist.
