Παρουσίαση
The name Euboea ("Eu" + "bous" = meaning good oxen) was given by Homer, and denotes the fertile arable land and the developed cattle for which it was famous. In historical texts, we find her with other names such as Macris from its elongated figure, Avantis from the people of Avantis, Ellopia from the homonymous homeland of Ellopie, Ochi from Mountain of Evia, Aonia from the tribe of the lonians, Halkis from the capital, Euripus and Egripos, from the strait of Euripus. During the Venetian period it was named Negroponte (black bridge). (From the publisher)Κριτικές για το προϊόν
