Η προδομένη στον έρωτά της γυναίκα μαστιγώνεται από ένα διαρκώς αυξανόμενο πάθος για εκδίκηση, που, καθώς συνειδητοποιεί στις λίγες λογικές της εκλάμψεις την αναπόφευκτη εγκατάλειψή της, μετατρέπεται κυριολεκτικά σε φυσικό στοιχείο καταστροφής.
