Η ΤΡΙΑΚΟΝΤΑΕΤΗΣ ΓΕΝΟΚΤΟΝΙΑ
Από το 1894 έως το 1924 τρία κύματα βίας σάρωσαν την Ανατολία με στόχο τις περιοχές όπου διέμεναν χριστιανικές μειονότητες, οι οποίες αποτελούσαν ως τότε το 20 τοις εκατό του πληθυσμού. Το 1924 οι Αρμένιοι, οι Ασσύριοι και οι Έλληνες είχαν μειωθεί στο 2 τοις εκατό του πληθυσμού.
